teens should have a curfew so there will be less binge drinking, under-age drinking, worrying parents, run-away kids, kid-napped kids, danger, drunks in the street, hangovers and much more. | 31/05/2008

I agree in principle with what you are saying Naomi, however, when you say teenagers are you referring to those in their early teens, say up to 16 or are you referring to all teenagers including those who are aged 18 and 19? Whilst society does have a problem with binge drinking etc amongst teenagers, their are of course many teenagers who act responsibly and who have the sense to realise the risks to themselves as well as others. I personally have three teenagers aged 13, 16 and 19 and whilst they are very sensible I often worry about their welfare when they are out, simply because of potential peer pressure to do something wrong and as a result I find that I cannot relax until I know that they are within the safety of their own home. |

I am a Sixteen yar old young woman and I have never performed any of the above. Never Smoked, Never Drunk alcohol, never had sex, never violently attacked anyone. So when you suggest that ALL teenager do all of the 'bad' things previously stipulated is extemely annoying. Do you realise how much of a bad press teens get every day of the year? It's the small irresposible minority that wreck other well behaved and good teens. So please, dont be so prejudace in the future? |
